Share Your Video and Make Money
Ever since YouTube was launched, it was such a hit. Instead of posting boring text and pictures, they are serving different kind of media by allowing user to view and post video online for free. Needless to say, many YouTube clones catching up fast and spreading all over the Internet like a virus hoping to enjoy the same popularity like YouTube, if not more. However, some sites are offering more than just free videos.
We will look into a few video sharing website that offer more than just free videos. Here’s a short list.

Like Youtube, Metacafe also offers a similar service; allows user to post video online for free. But it doesn’t stop there. Since such websites are largely dependent on community participation, Metacafe came out with an idea called Producer Reward ;to encourage users to post more videos and hopefully by doing that, people will keep coming back to their website and make it a hit!
Every video uploaded in Metacafe stands a chance to win cold hard cash. The catch is, the rating must be more than 3 (out of 5) and payment starts after the video get 20,000 views. For every 1,000 views, they will pay $5. Sounds hard? Apparently not to some. One user (kipkay) even managed to rake close to $60,000 so far by posting 79 videos after joined slightly more than 1 year. A quick check show all top 10 earners have surpassed $10,000 mark.

Revver is a video sharing community site that offers revenue-splitting between them and users who posted videos on their website using Google Adsense. On top of that, if you refer friends who sign up, you can earn extra when they posted new videos too. Other revenue-splitting video sharing includes Nelsok and WackiVideo.

The Verdict
Even though Youtube is not offering much goodies to users who posted videos on their site, they still remain the most popular video sharing website. Based on Alexa, they are the 4th most popular website as of today while Metacafe is standing at 140. While the rest are pretty far behind.
